Local Context
For this section of your essay, you will either address the Local Context or the National Context of your issue.
Your National Context essay should be no less than 250 words and no more than 400 words.
Your mini-essay should answer the following questions:
Your essay must included at least 1 academic scholarly source, which is cited in your annotated bibliography.

- How does your issue impact the United States?
- Provide evidence that illustrates how the issue presents itself in 2 to 3 cities.
- How are activists in these cities working to address the problems that surround your Fire Project issue?
- How is the global context similar and/or different to the national context of your issue?

- What does it mean to think globally and act locally?
- How are activists in Chicago working to address the problems that surround your Fire Project issue?
- How is the national context similar and/or different to local context of your issue?
- What local organizations can people partner with to become activist-allies in addressing these areas of concern?
- How can students create original community activist projects that are modeled after successful existing organizations?
