Fire Project Action Component

Social Justice seniors are required to complete to design and execute an social action plan.  Your action plan will demonstrate your creativity and leadership in solving social problems through entrepreneurship, education, and advocacy.

Mere participation in an existing civic engagement program will not be sufficient. Rather you must play a significant leadership role in the endeavor.  You will present your action plans to your peers in order to obtain both positive feedback and critical response.  You will have the option to work collaboratively in teams to improve the effectiveness of your action plans.

Each project must:
  1. Be implemented in partnership with an outside organization.
  2. Be an action plan that you  feel passionate about and are willing to invest significant time to complete;
  3. Demonstrate your leadership skills and make you stretch outside of your comfort zone;
  4. Be a realistic project, i.e., must be executed within the last two months of the school year;
  5. Contribute to the common good.

The results of your social action project will be showcased at the 6th Annual Dream Conference.
